How the concierge runs safely on an unofficial connection
No buttons, no WhatsApp calls, and a real chance the number gets banned. Every flow above is designed to keep working anyway. DeepSeek handles text only; Whisper on Groq handles voice.

- Ban riskREAL RISKUnofficial connections can be banned without warning or appeal. We run a primary number plus a warmed-up standby, and keep every record on our servers, never only in WhatsApp.

- Voice notes → textWORKSWe download the voice note and transcribe it with Whisper on Groq (Hindi, Hinglish, English, Arabic). Then DeepSeek, which reads text only, structures it, with names and phone numbers removed.
- Prescription photosNEEDS OCRPhotos and PDFs are attached to the draft referral. Reading handwriting needs an OCR step before DeepSeek sees the text, and we are still testing its accuracy.
- Voice agent callsPHONE LINEUnofficial libraries can’t place WhatsApp calls. The agent calls from a normal number through a telephony provider (e.g. Exotel), with Whisper for speech in and text-to-speech out.
- City groupsCAREFULLYThe bot can post in groups, but heavy group activity raises ban risk. A separate number posts a few announcements a week, never patient data.
- Sending rulesWE ENFORCEMessage only people who messaged us first or opted in. Human-like pacing, daily caps per number, slow warm-up for new numbers, no bulk cold messages.
- If the AI is offlineSTILL WORKSWithout DeepSeek the concierge falls back to plain commands: STATUS, LOGIN, ACCEPT, YES, numbered replies. Voice notes wait for typing if Groq is down.
- If the number is bannedFALLBACKDoctors and patients get an SMS with the new number and a secure web link. Referrals carry on in the web app.
- Patient documentsLINKS, NOT FILESReports, consent and outcome notes go as short-lived links to our web app (OTP-protected), not as WhatsApp attachments.
