Intensive Care Units
At Center of Diabetes and Allied Sciences (CDAS), our remote team of intensive care internists partner with your bedside care team to provide you with 24-hour-a-day, 7-days-a-week monitoring in the ICU. Our 8-bedded dedicated ICU Unit is different from other hospital units because of our advanced equipment and a higher staff-to-patient ratio. This means our patients are closely observed, monitored and treated by specially trained staff, 24 hours a day. We have dedicated ICUs for surgery patients, cardiac patients, medical management patients which are equipped with latest critical care & life-saving equipment. The dedicated team helps our critically ill patients to get best care & hence leading to faster & better recovery from diseases.
Our ICU staff provide services outside of the ICU such as emergency response (e.g. rapid response teams) and outreach services. Our ICUs are equipped with the state-of-art equipment such as ventilators, airway access, vascular access equipment, monitors, specialized beds, ultrasound machines, portable X-ray machines.
It is a specially staffed and equipped, separate and self-contained area of a hospital dedicated to the management of critically ill patients with injuries, accidents, life-threatening illness and mortal complications. It has a special expertise and facilities for support of vital functions and uses the skills of medical, nursing and other personnel experienced in the management of these problems. It is where patients stay when they need a higher level of care, constant observation and monitoring during an illness or after surgery.
In intensive care, clinical staff will closely monitor the patient 24 hours a day.
